INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATION

The Pilates Academy International with Gerda (PAI with Gerda) is committed to providing students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become excellent, sought-after instructors. We aim to equip our students with not only a strong mastery of the Pilates exercises and functional anatomy, but also the teaching skills necessary to attract and retain a strong client base.

The PILATES ACADEMY INTERNATIONAL was created so that the focus of Pilates could be shifted to the individuals it was designed to help most: the clients. We believe that Pilates is only as good as its ability to serve the clients' needs.

The Pilates Academy International by Gerda offers the following certification courses:

Students applying for admission into a course administered by The Pilates Academy International by Gerda will need the following:

•  -Completed application form

•  -$200 deposit, (refunded if you are not accepted)

•  -Personal Statement summarizing your intentions

•   

Our team of certifying instructors is dedicated to providing you with all the tools you need not only to learn and understand the exercises, but also to teach the exercises skillfully and effectively.

Exams

A written and practical exam will be administered for the All Populations courses.  TheProgressions/Challenge courses only require a practical exam for certification.  Exams must be taken within a year after the last day of the last course attended.  The written and practical must be taken within two weeks of each other.  If you do not pass your exam you may retake it only once and for an additional fee.

“Crossing Over”

The Pilates Academy International recognizes the content, reputation and integrity of other Pilates certification programs.  If you are interested – or think you might be interested – in converting your certification to The Pilates Academy International’s certification, please, send an email with the subject heading “crossing over” to info@pilateswithgerda.com
